Chris over at GreenBelly sent us some samples to try out. Before giving them a try, I did a little research to see what they're all about. GreenBelly was started by a guy who wanted to leave the corporate life to explore the outdoors. Chris, the founder quit his accounting job to hike the AT and travel the world. Having issues finding the nutrition he needed to fuel his body led Chris to create GreenBelly meal bars.
They have 3 bars to choose from, each with between 640 and 645 calories which are 1/3 of your recommended daily calorie intake. They're also made from all natural ingredients.
Cranberry Almond, Dark Chocolate Banana and Peanut Apricot are your choices. The packs came with 2 bars inside. They were much less dense than I expected, unlike some other meal replacement bars I've tried. While not as light and airy as a rice crispy treat, it still has some crunchiness to it. My favorite is the dark chocolate banana.
I've included a shot at the bottom of the post with the nutrition info from the Cranberry Almond bars.
